About me
Welcome to the ThrivingBeet! My name is Vlada and I'm an Analytics consultant by day and a fitness and food enthusiast by lifestyle.
I'm not a sports fanatic, iron man participant, marathon runner or a professional athlete. Neither am i a nutritionist or a dietitian by training. However, I have been exercising for nearly 20 years since I was 14 years old. I have been experimenting with various fitness activities to discover what is right for me. Through this journey I have become fascinated with nutrition, food, and the balance between our eating habits and fitness goals, and have gathered a large collection of healthy eating tips and recipes. As I became more aware of what I'm eating and how active I am, my newly acquired eating and exercising habits have naturally transformed my lifestyle and defined the person I am today.
The irony of my fitness journey is that at birth I was diagnosed with some heart condition that prohibited any exercising or sports for the rest of my life. As a result, I did not even participate in any school sports or physical activity until 14 years old. But then my mom signed me up for a runway modeling class for teenagers, mainly for the sake of developing a graceful posture and boosting self-confidence. That slowly evolved into dance classes, light aerobics, fitness and yoga, despite constant protests from the doctors. And as of today I work out 4-5 times a week doing highly intense cardio, cycling or sculpting exercises, topped with completely normal results of the heart tests.
My own life story tells me that even if you start with baby steps, stay persistent, progress gradually, and listen to how your body reacts, you will learn what is right for you and achieve exceptional results. I will be happy to share my personal experience on how to integrate a well-balanced exercise routine and mindful nutrition into your lifestyle.
